A few weeks ago Kelley and I took a trip up to Big Sur for the weekend. While the campground was a little bit of a surprise the drive to the campground made it all worth it.

On a side note, the photos on this site seemed to be a little small. Hopefully 700 pixels looks better than 600.

Drastically changing up what I have been doing with work these past few months has been great. It’s always a little strange starting a new job. It’s a new group of friends, it’s a new daily commute, it pretty much feels like starting over in life a little bit.

Here are some photos from one of the many projects that Active has let me be a part of in the short time that I have been there. For this project I worked alongside my co-workers at Active but also with a creative/project management first called Sew Creative. We all kind of put our heads together to develop this “space” where brands, organizations, and customers can interact and help put their efforts towards a particular cause. This space is located inside of the Active in downtown Santa Monica.

I was given the chance to develop the artwork for the logo, typeface, visual branding, and “take-aways” that were located within the space itself. While this project was a little out of my norm, I was really excited to try something a little new and something that was for a good cause.

The first four brands involved; Obey, TOMS, KrochetKids, and Falling Whistles.

The window space featured the logo that I developed for The Workshop as well as a little bit of typography that I made for the event.

The space itself…

These cards were made as “takeaways” for the space. I wanted each brand to have a card that spread their message but in a way that was unique for The Workshop. The messages and type layouts were designed specifically to the messages that the brands stand for. The cards are meant to also be used as postcards so the messages could be sent out to others who were not able to visit the space firsthand.

Here are a few of the pictures from my time in Portugal. The first day I cruised around solo (with some people from the hostel later in the evening) then I met up with Kelley and two of her friends for the remainder.
